I think it's a security cable. The basket is portable.

Either that, or it's some sort of electrical cable so a force field can be applied to reject discs...at least all the baskets I play around here have them, I'm sure.

lol On a hole that looks plenty challenging, they set up a rediculous mando but on the short holes we see where a mando would really help, no mando.

Im just going to go Magic through the gap, then River toward the basket, which looks up hill and to have most of the ~400'. Depending on how far I get with the River on a controlled shot, I would then determine what disc I think will get me the rest of the way, then putt out.

standing dx roc through mando, then maybe a teebird or leopard from there, putt for par.

Meh. Im not a big fan of the early mando on a good length, already wooded hole. If they had a mando later, I would like it, but I feel the early ones on a whole like this takes away any creativity off the tee.

I mean, just look through the posts. The only variance is the disc and maybe someone feels more confident with their FH to get through the mando. Might as well just put the tee on the other side of the mando and wrote a mandatory +1 to start the hole.
