Sorry, but no. It's too heavy, too fast, too overstable, and the rim is probably too wide for a total beginner. You should get an Innova Leopard, Latitude 64 Diamond or a Lightning #1 Slice. In my opinion. :-)

Figured it out, maxes are good for long turns, and vipers go dead staight.

I really like the crystal clear plastic seen on the Roc3s. Is this something we'll see move to the rest of the champion discs as new ones are molded or was it more of a special run for the new disc?

There are already some champ beasts out there with that glassy clear plastic. I would assume they would use the new plastic on new runs of discs, but it's innova so you never can tell.
