We only go for the "5" part......... unless someone announces 1-5 before a particular hole

My only aces have been at Civic Park in michigan (9 really short holes). I have hit chains from the tee probably once or twice since then and every time i get a rush. I would rather hit chains, hear that sweet sound only to be disappointed than to just have a great drive. Discing is so much fun for me because of how excited I get when I rip a perfect drive or sink a long putt. The excitement and progression of my play is what brings me to the course. (which is starting to become everyday now)

i'd much rather have a nice drive parked than hit chains and not get the ace. on many holes where i can aim for an ace, if i miss i'm gonna be 50 feet past the hole. So i'd rather be 5 feet from the pin than have it hit chains, because that's what i'm aiming for.

My one ace I didn't think it had a chance till it went in. I'd much rather hit the basket and miss as long as it doesn't roll away. My putting is awful.

I remember one of the only times I have hit metal. I hit the pole just a few inches below the basket. I just kept thinking "damn" a little higher and I would have had an ace.

We all have an agreement that we will buy dinner for the person in our group that gets an ace.
