How do I get in on a roadtrip?

I am pretty new to DG. All my friends who have played for a while go on a road trip every year. For 2011, a few in the group want me to go, but a few don't because it would turn a group of 6 into a group of 7.

Anything I can do to swing things in my favor?

then tell the origianl 6 they're on a team and your 6 are on a team. whoever wins the road trip rounds doesn't have to pay for food or gas on the way home.

Is there some rule against 7 people on a road trip I'm not aware of?

I think it throws off doubles. That's what they say at least.

Yup, it definitely throws off doubles. The math checks out.
