You could do a "Jericho week challenge": One round a day for 6 days and then 7 rounds on the 7th day.

Going back to the thread title.

I think the biggest thing here would be to make sure you're ministering to people based on a need and not out of convenience for yourself. Jesus didn't go around ministering to all the carpenters, if you catch my drift. Pray, move, done.

On a side note: Great to see other disciples enjoying this game! I'm trying to get a few friends at my church interested in it... so far the best selling point has been, "I can throw a frisbee longer than a football field and you probably could too!" So far thats gotten at least two involved with me and a few interested.

How much you wanna bet I can throw my disc over them mountains?

NovaDiscHead - there is a course just outside of Richmond at the New Hanover Presbyterian Church. It's a great little 9-hole course on the church property that will hopefully be expanding to 18 soon. Maybe you should contact someone at that church and see what they have to say about trying to get your church involved. Or just check the course out next time you're in the Richmond area. Religion isn't my thing but it's a great course - I've been to play a few times and have yet to be 'hassled' by anyone from the church. The signs on each hole have bible verses on them, but I just ignore em... The only problem I have with playing disc on church property is that I have to watch what I say after a bad drive. Haha.

Time and place for everything.

The deal is... If you are a disciple, your life is the witness. A group can help but nobody likes to be pestered on the public courses about religion.

You really want to convert somebody to Christ? Go play solo or with another buddy and show them why you are different. I truly believe if they see the difference in you being yourself, that is when people begin to care. No need to broadcast your church or group in promoting being a christian. Just be yourself and go out and play.

People will take notice. If not are you truly living for Christ?
Just my .02

If you want a group/ministry do it. But make sure you are not cheesy about it and have fun.

I agree. Just set an example in the way you talk and the way you conduct your self and people will notice
