Default What did you shoot your first round

I finally convicned a friend of mine to play disc golf. I took him to Earlwood. He shot a 78 10+. I shot a 59 -9. He thinks he sucks. I know I shot like a 86 my first time I played Earlwood. How Do I encourage him to keep playing?

my first round ever was at the radcliff dgc in radcliff, ky. a short little par 54 course with plenty of trees, but no true technical holes. i played it by sign par, which is several shots more, probably around 60 or so, and i shot +13.

Yes I shot +6 my first round at probably the easiest course ever. I will shoot about 15-18 under now.

Took my Uncle to play his first round ever at Whistler DGC in Canada. He shot a +10 on 27 holes, all par 3s.

I subconsciously block out memories like this. First score...how many discs have I lost...how many easy putts have I missed...why waste memory space with depressing things such as these.

My first round was at this very short old woods course, Cedars of Lebanon, where I played with regular frisbees and I shot somewhere in the 90's and I thought holes were par 4 like ball golf!!!

12 years later I now shoot about a 50 at that course with dozens of discs in my unnecessarily expensive disc golf bag.

105 (That's +51 folks). And this was on your standard SSA 48 course.

I was instantly hooked and that was all that mattered.
