Hole of the Day 1/27/11
jefferson barracks in st. louis, mo
hole#7 pinA: 215ft. w/ approx. -5' elevation pinB: 280ft. w/ approx. -5' elevation pinC: 340ft. w/ approx. -15' elevation picture from tee w/ pins labeled: ![]() picture from 'A' pin placement back to tee: ![]() course map: ![]() notes: * 'A' placement has a drop off hill behind the pin to pretty thick bushes * there is an OB park road that runs down the left side of the entire fairway * the lower hanging branches in the center fairway create a roughly 15' ceiling for 'up-the-gut' shots to the 'B' and 'C' placements * there are many multiple routes that i have seen successfully and consistently navigated to each of the three pins, so it's a fun hole for decision making and risk/reward * it's a 'must-birdie' kind of hole, particularly in the 'A' or 'B' settings |

here's how i play each of the 3 settings LHBH:
'A' pin- either a lightly beat voodoo from a standstill straight at the pin, or a fresh voodoo or some type of underpowered roc straight out off the tee and fading to the green. 'B' pin- it's mid range disc distance for me, but to consistently get under the branches/ceiling, i've taken to flipping a TB up from hyzer and floating it straight up the gut to the green. 'C' pin- the stop sign shot (you can see the stop sign in the 1st posts' photo). i aim a fresh-ish TB, released very slight hyzer or flat, @ the stop sign and let it fade under the basket. if your tee shot winds up fading/turning too hard right going for this placement, you'll be stuck in thick/tall bushes that will make your par a difficult one. |

Looks like a fun hole. I would probably have to play it a few times to decide what worked best. Since that isn't an option:
A: Magic or beat SS Wizard up the gut RHBH, or a maybe a standstill Banshee RHBH out to the right. B: Champ Leopard on a slight hyzer, RHBH C: Prudent shot - Champ Leopard RHBH and play for 3. Go-for-it shot: Star Valk RHFH, attempting to turn over slightly and fade past the bushes for a look at the pin.
