Generally, UPGRADES lead to more consistency, and better results/products.

The new machines we are upgrading to have a significant increase in repeatability and consistency. Our control needed in keeping our runs more consistent is much greater. Our current production on products that we currently have will remain the same as we target the same quality control and procedures already in place.

Could argue that would go under the better results/products category.

I make 10 products in 1 hour, scrap 2, I have 8/hr for sale.

I make 10 products in 1 hour, scrap 0, I have 10/hr for sale.

Simple. Concept.

With MVP's upgrade to newer (and larger-quantity) production equipment, I wonder if there will be any noticeable difference between the discs manufactured after upgrade and before.

Reproducibility is the key to quality control, and, because MVP has produced their discs in smaller batches with (presumably) smaller machines, will this transfer up to larger equipment?

I am by no means implying that their quality control will diminish or that their discs will be in any way inferior to those now. But I do wonder if their will be a sort of "11x-effect" that occurs with the move to bigger equipment.

Maybe I just like the idea of owning discs produced in the "start-up" stage of MVP.
You're absolutely right! There will be some sort of microscopic difference that people will find, and all of a sudden you'll be seeing all the hype about how such and such is older and therefore better.

Exactly what I was getting at.

Chad, any word/speculation/reasoning why the marked weights have been off?
