Agreed. I know MVP has the ion and vector, but wind seems to be my biggest nemesis when throwing all MVP.

Bottom line is they don't make a firebird or zone yet. No sense in not carrying a firebird on principal if that's the flight you want. If you wanna throw flat and full power into a 30 mph headwind you kind of need a firebird (or it's ilk).

i've just never had one before.
i hope its on their list of priorities, its pretty important since discs dont become more overstable with use. from what ive read they are likely to make another core and 3 different black rings for it.. which will all likely be a little stable, stable, and a little less stable like usual. that being said im going to buy a drone and zone next time im at the shop, and ive never bagged discraft. |

Posts like the ones above might cause a player to assume MVP's discs aren't good in the wind. The truth is that they can be good, in certain winds. Although none of their discs are billed as true wind fighters, yet.
For those who have thrown the new Shocks, how do they do in the wind?

If anything, the MVP drivers have forced me to learn to play the wind. It's been really good for my game, and I'm more and more comfortable working a Volt or even Amp in to a headwind. They perform just as well, but on different lines. The only weakness so far with headwinds in penetration ability. Invariably, the wind will stomp the disc at around 320' for me regardless of the line.

Lots o hyzer I would imagine. Regardless, it seems like a tough throw. I bet it can be done with some degree of success...maybe.

Just finished testing out the Tangent. All I have to say is that the Tangent is the Truth!
