Bradford Park- 17005 Davidson Concord Road, Davidson, NC

Thanks to chainaddicted and DiscChucker from DGCR for putting in time this weekend; firmly adding themselves to the list of "We are "they." Here is a map of the course as it stands now with suggestions on where you can volunteer.

Bradford will be 1 of 3 (possibly 4) NEW courses that we hope to have baskets installed in by mid-April. Maybe we can have a hardware installation party on my birthday. April 11.

For more information, visit here:

Thanks!
Mark

That would be FAT. I'll bring you some beer. We need to get those guys at that course me and you teamed up on this past weekend to get out to Bradford and put some hours in.

#8 looks really cool! Cool choices to be made. Question: looks like an open field so how are you going to "enforce" or provide landing zones? Is this the field you mentioned elsewhere that has small cedars all over it? Also, what are the distances we're looking at, tee-to-LZ and LZ-to-basket?

You will need a degree in higher math to comprehend Huey's cyphering. The overall distance from tee to pin will be about 700'. The middle circle will probably be somewhere around halfway to the pin. Huey will post later , of that I am sure. We hope to carve out nice circles with a brush hog and also to connect the circles with pathways. There will be lots of briars to eliminate, but it should be quite interesting. If you miss the circles I don't want people contending with briars. Cedars and other small trees will work, but briars are no fun. Holees 10 and 11 will also have some of the same rough to contend with as hole 11 winds up at the restroom building near where the word PARK is on the map.

Cool. Thanks. I miss the Charlotte courses (and the greater area too) .....and I am missing the weather right now as we are in single digits.

I am going to Eastway around 8:00 to get the temp baskets in place and get maps to Ralph. After that, I will head to the hardware shop to get two more chains for the saw and head to Bradford. I hope to have most of the cutting completed this weekend.

That's when I plan on getting there as well. I will see you there at 8am. I have my bro-in-law coming out to help as well, Stan. He wont be there until 9:00 though.

Got in 6 hours of chainsawing and 3 hours of lopping and dragging this weekend. Holes 1 ,2, 13,14 and 15 need dragged. I have about 2/3 of 16's fairway lopped and dragged. It is not a long hole but the green will be treacherous and on a boulder cluster with a couple of evil bunkers.

I will be out there again this next weekend if possible. We started on #5 last Saturday. I guess I gotta go to CDGCs website to see the map and figure out where all those holes are. I will stop by 5 and see if that one is done yet by this next Saturday.
