grange is indeed closed until early march or so...i don't think there will be a major re-design of sunnyside however.

hawk hollow will be reopening in the next couple of weeks.

Hawk Hallow is tough enough without 4 inches of snow to slide on and icy water to jump into.
I thought they had to beef up sunnyside in order to hold larger PDGA tourneys?

i often wonder when (not if) the inevitable will occur and hawk hollow goes off the radar for public play... to this point golfers have been wonderfully respectful but it only takes one knucklehead to ruin it for all.

sunnyside scoring averages have generally been pretty close to darkside over the last few years...

That would be a shame. I really think it is the best course out of 94 I have played, It is better than Deer Lakes, Castle Hayne, Patapsco, etc. I was going to hit flyboy a few months ago, now I wish I had.

I heard neither were up to PDGA's standard and so they are bringing sunnyside upto another level, and leaving darkside as is. (just what I heard)

DGC built through a neighborhood=inevitable demise. I was wondering how long this sweet looking course was going to last. It is in the nature of some people to ruin good things. Hopefully it will be able to continue in another form. I feel your pain and hope things all work out for the course

I have problems with my neighbors all the time and the course is no where near any of them. I know of at least 10 or more courses, public and private that have been shut down due to opposition. It really sucks when so much hard work and love is put into a course.

Ok, no offense to anyone that knows this guy and I'm hoping he is just pissed, but he comes off like a real DB in that post. It kind of sounds like, its okay to swear, litter, and be a jackass on other courses, but not here, not at my baby. Meh just rubbed me the wrong way. How about we encourage disc golfers to not be arseholes everywhere, not just at one "precious" private course.
