Well here it is my first attempt! I know that I had a few bleeds but the bigger problem was when I dropped it when first putting it in the dye and it got up around the top and along the edges. I think I started to get excited and rushed. I love it though, all the guys on the course know me as squid, so I thought this would be a good first dye. Now I can't wait to do more!

So I do have a few questions. When putting the vinyl onto the disc how do you put it down "flat" I lined it up pretty much where I wanted but it bunched up in spots then I had trouble pushing out the air bubbles.

Place disc onto the vinyl gently then smooth out using thumb from center of disc to the rim on the back plate all the way around. This should minimize big air bubbles then flip it over and use a credit card to push out any air bubbles remaining

I use a hair dryer if I see that the vinyl is going to start bunching up or a crease could happen, this is a tremendous help on domey discs. hair dryer and card, I use a 3m squeegee but an old hotel card key works well too

first try, before DGCR

This is my first dye, before I knew about the DGCR dyeing collective. It's acceptable (barely). Plenty of mistakes....added salt per rit directions, dye was too hot I've learned a lot since then thanks to all the fine dyers here. A few more going up on the dye a day thread. BTW very used champ eagle.
