A lot of people have trouble with this. I still play a lot of ultimate (3x a week), and freestyle at least four times a week. However, I can transition between the different discs with little problem.
Although, I do throw a lot of putters as drivers because they feel the same to throw as ultrastars and skystylers. And, I would say that my love for all forms of frisbee has limited my disc golf potential (in terms of driving distance). However, it's worth it.
Since I have been playing multiple disc sports for a log time, the transition doesn't seem that bad to me.

I bet you're pretty consistently accurate with your placements though and I'd take that over distance.

Yeah... I excell on short to midrange tight fairway courses. My favorite shot would be one with a fairway that is 10-15' wide, treed-up on both sides, 250-300' long, dead straight, slightly downhill. Perfect for a star avair park job. Wide-open bombs are not my style!
