Forehand grip for small-medium size hands

I've been playing for about 9 months and throw back and forehand about equally. Lately I've been trying to improve my technique and there is an abundance of info on backhand grips, but not so much on forehand. What I have found on forehand grips tell me to put the pads of my finger on the edge, not on the plate. This is great, but the few demonstrations I have seen are from guys with huge hands who can easily do this and get a lot of finger on the side. My hands aren't so big and I am having difficulty following this instruction.

For those without the biggest hands, what is your grip on forehand shots?

My current grip is 2 fingers with the middle finger almost into the corner of the edge and plate with index pressed against it and against the plate.

I dont have small hands and generally use 1 finger; index on the inner rim.

Here is a link though for ideas. Just find whats comfortable for you.

Same for me. It's so easy to pop it off the hand with the one finger grip.

I use a 1-finger grip as well, I seem to get a cleaner release and a great snap. Also it is a lot more controlable (for me at least) then two fingers...

What kind of distance are yall getting with 1 finger? I have never even attempted a 1 finger forehand.

Two fingers, both on flight plate, middle finger pushed up against the rim,I can push them about 350+ or so,but I have pretty decent sized hands, just keep messing around with it and find what works for you.

I have fairly small hands and I use a 2 finger group. My index finger is bent with the pad of my finger against the rim and my middle finger is straight out with the pad also on the inner rim. I only use sidearm to get out of trouble for the most part and my max distance I would say is maybe 250-275ish with it.

really, do what is comfortable. they say not to put the finger pads against the flight plate because it less accurate and it is easier to roll your wrist. i dont have large hands and i normally have a smash of a fh. i will put the pad of my middle finer against the rim of the disc if i am going accuracy but if im looking at a wide open hole over 400 ft i will put the pad between the flight plate and the wing. i get more power out off it. just be wary of rolling you wrist over.
