Ode To My First Driver

You never forget your beginings,
You never forget the memories along the way.

When times were tough you were there,
When I others came along it was okay.

But alas you sit at the bottom of the lake at La Mirada,
When wind and a bad soft throw took you away.

You were only 150g which was not ideal for me,
But you knew how to fly so free in the air, a Valkyrie.

I will miss you and think of you fondly,
Though I pray you make it back into my bag somehow.

Thanks for listening to my Therapy Session.

LOL, I lost my 150 gram Valk at Giles run... I was walking back to the tee, to try a re-throw, and the wind was in my face. So I decided to flick the valk toward the tee box....to my horror, I watched it keep going up and over the tee, across the path and into a deep bramble. I couldn't even see it to go after it. Oh well, never could get it to do what I wanted anyhow.

Yes well I was playing La Mirada today and on the front 18 hole number 17 I normally throw my Valk nice and easy and let the understable part of it just bring it down the sidehill. Well the wind was blowing and I missed further right than I wanted to be and the wind pushed the right side of the disc down and the rest was history. Huge duck hook into the center of the pond. Couple of the local fisherman that watched it happen were like we could try and fish for it but it was way out there. Tear.

I still have the first discs I bought, but I don't play them anymore.
