snapband! ever heard of or used one??

recently i read i article a guy wrote about the "snapband" which is basically a disc with a set of resistance bands attached , and what u do is a series of isometric workouts to increase muscle memory , strength , and increase your distance off the tee. So i was wondering if any one has one, has used one and what your thoughts and experiences are with it , there's also a youtube video that show it more in detail than what i can describe check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83fxewDR3O4 , they cost about 50 bucks , i think i might try and make a ghetto version with a old ce disc and some bands

i do have bands , but i think part of the training is the fact that u have to grip the disc which helps your overall throw, and grip , not just your strength

I really think that getting a net or something to throw at would be better than this. It just doesn't seem to incorporate everything that I would want to work on - primarily the release.

I still think the best thing to do is just get in a field and practice practice practice...

A buddy of mine "built" one of these with some bungies and an old shark. He seems to like it, I find it unwieldy. I would recommend buying the bands from Wal-Mart like the previous poster recommended and couple that with the good old "go to field and throw like crazy" methodology.
