First to play all the course in a state

After 90 holes today I have finally completed phase one of my plan. I have played every course listed on here in VA. Phase two you ask keeping up with any new ones that come out. Don't think anyone else has completed their state yet but if you have let us know, and if anyone wants to post their progress report please do. I'm also 1 course away from completing MD Wonder what state I will go for next. I would also like to request some symbol to go next to my name like the trusted reviewer, it's a accomplishment that should be display by my name. Anyways hope this gets some people motivated to play new courses, and to keep the directory update with every course known to man.

I agree, that definitely deserves a gold star or something. Maybe an icon of the state played?

Anyway, congratulations.

congrats gottafixit. The icon of the state completed is a great idea. I think u should try texas next... I would venture to guess that not many, if anyone, has ever played all the tx courses (TX's icon better be bigger than the smaller states)......

Congrats on the 100% mark Gottafixit. Now that you've played them all, what's your list of top 10 courses in the state?

Technically Virginia is a commonwealth, not a state. Blast those rebellious cw'ers.

favs

This is a harder question than I thought, in part because a bunch of the courses i've only played once or twice, and it's taken a couple years to do this, so some may have gotten better since I last played them. The other factor is personal opinion, I like technical woods course for the most part. So i thought i would give a few of the overall nicest courses as far as tees, signs, maps, baskets are concerned and then the top ten in no order that If they were all the same distance from me i would play over the rest.

overall nicest
- Giles run, Lorton - http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=2473
- Falling Creek, Bedford - http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=3088
- New Quarter, Williamsburg - http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=791
- Munden point, Virginia beach - http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=243

Now for the ten I would play over the rest(very hard choice, because variety is the spice of life)
- White Bank Park, Colonial heights - http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=2564
- Falling Creek Park, Bedford - http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=3088
- Dorey Park, Richmond - http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=218
- Emery and Henry College, Emory - http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=1237
- Golden Hills, Blacksburg - http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=162
- New Quarter Park, Williamsburg - http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=791
- Signal View Park, Maurertown - http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=2475
- Sunny Side, Spotsylvania - http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=792
- Walnut Creek, Charlottesville - http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=785
- Ferrum College, Ferrum - http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=3103

There are plenty of great course but some play to long for my everyday taste. so hope no one picks on my list.

That's cool and I like the idea of the state icon. That is quite an accomplishment, come take on the courses in North Carolina next.

I've gotten 4 and rocky mount is on my list of trips, get four more in five miles there. I think after Maryland I might try to finish New jersey. Maybe make a drive to Rhode Island. West VA might be easier to than NC, just so many.

Congrats, I guess it doesn't hurt that you are some what centrally located in VA. What course in MD are you missing? I think you should try Delaware next. It's relatively small and you can pay for one State Park pass and hit multiple courses to save some money. And it's not too far of a drive.
