Hooking problem
Alright guys, I went out today to play a quick round and I was having trouble holding my lines. Every time I would shoot my driver (champion beast) it would hook left pretty badly. I've been told to toss the beast right now and stick with a fairaway driver, but I haven't had the time to purchase one.
So, what should I do to fix the hook? I mainly throw RHBH if that helps.

Hooking left? I mean, in regular golf a hook goes left and a slice goes right; right? Is that what you mean?

Without pics I am guessing nose up or throwing high

Well, if it could be nose up and it could be you are not getting it up to speed. There are things people do to compensate for this and a lot of it leads to OAT (off axis torque) which at first would feel like a good thing but it then would limit your potential growth.
Probably why people were suggesting you get a fairway driver so you can throw with clean form and it probably would go just as far, if not further than the faster Beast. |

i think it might be the speed problem. I was working on keeping the nose down pretty much the whole time. I tried to drive with my putter and i was hitting my lines pretty well

Well, a putter is also not as sensitive to nose angle.

Ditch the beast. I think you are also throwing nose up. make sure your grip is conducive to nose down throws, and scour the internet (technique sticky) to make sure you are doing things properly. Considering how recently you have started the game, it is hard to point to any one thing cause nose up.
and the beast is too fast. Get a DX cheetah how far are you throwing with a putter and with the beast?

I am in the market for a buzzz and leopard actually. And i can throw ~200 with the putter and ~260 with the beast. I never really hit my lines with the beast. I think i'm just going to leave it aside for now.
