Just wondering what you guys who have used the Innova XD putter think about it. Likes, dislikes, etc.

I'm not a huge fan personally, but there are players I've thrown with who really hate the deep rims on most putters. The XD has a much more shallow rim that is more like a midrange, so if you have smaller hands or just don't like holding putters, the XD might feel better in your hand.

From what I have found its a very stright flying putter. I have thown it before. Not my first choice, but a nice putter though.

Yeah, I was just wondering because the XD is the only putter I play with. I like it because it is so flat. I throw it for everything 100' and less. I can lay up with it pretty well and hit 20' and less pretty well but seem to have trouble with it in the 30-40 range. I was wondering if I should look at something else for that distance. I have tried several others including but not limited to the Avair, Areo, Magnet, birdie, and a few others. It is just that I decided to find one putter and stick with it. The XD is my favorite thus far. Should I just stick with it? Do you guys play with multiple putters? How about multiple weights?

I think putters are a really personal thing. If you really like what you've got, and you don't feel like you're missing shots because of the disc, stick with what's working. If you do want to try other putters, I'm a real fan of some of the softer putters, like the soft magnet or the Omega SS, they seem to bounce off the chains a lot less for me.

A lot of very good players use XDs. If you like it, stick with it.

I tried it for awhile and the blow bys were killing me. I switched up to a hyzer putting style with my Warlock and haven't looked back. Still trying to get rid of the XD on discaroo actually.

I go thru putters like Imelda Marcos went thru shoes...birdie,polecat,magnet,wizard,magic,challen ger, aviar plus a bunch of mid-rangers.
Currently alternating between the XD and Banger.
I really like both of them as a long-term solution.
I've actually made some of my longest putts ever (hyzers) with the XD just in the past month.

I agree with mashnut...the XD feels like a midrange disc with that shallow rim. Keep throwing whatever is working for you.

XD's has serve me very well for the last few years.

When its new, snap it hard and it will go very straight (100-210ft) with little fade at end of flight.

Over the time when it starts to beat in, it will start to become bit too much anhzyer and you will have to do a little hyzer-flip for it.

It has both plus/negative sides about it. I just pick out out the right kind of XD's that works for certain situations. I have three different stages (wears) of XD's (174g+) in and out of my bag.

Sidenote: There are CFR Star XD's out there and I have one from Clearwaterdiscgolf.com but noticed that it DOES NOT fly the same as DX XD's. Very overstable and maybe needs much longer break-ins to achieve that same straightness...
