Kudos to you for spreading the sport to new people

I have quite a few discs I've found, that i will sometimes give one away from. What I usuallly do, is if Im playing with someone new, but who is into DG, asking me questions, I'll let them try out some of my discs, and give them advice on what discs i think would work well for them.

If someone is struggling with a certain shot (usually because the disc they are using is not doing what they need it to do), after they've just missed the shot, I'll throw them the disc I have that I think would work for them, and say "now try it with this one, and tell me if thats easier" Usually it is, and Ive helped out several people that way.

If its someone new, who only has a few discs, and one of the discs i have but dont use would work for them, I just give it to them.

I really enjoy giving people disc selection advice, because they see all my discs, and based on what they are throwing and how its flying, i can usually name a disc that they would like. Of course, when they then ask where to buy discs, I always send them to the Disc retailers in town that sponsor the local club.

I'm hoping that when you said "crooked creek" that it's the same course as my "home" course in Chapin? I've actually helped several people get "hooked" there myself. Met several people who are just learning to play/ or just saw us from the walkpaths and wanted to learn more.
Just for info as well, the front desk inside does sell discs as well, we don't have a huge selection like you would see at a full retail place, but there are a few good selections. Glad you had a good experience there, there are some of us who put a lot of time/effort/blood/sweat/and tears on that course!

it is the one that is in chapin. they sell disc at the front desk. I never knew that. I knew that had a lost and found. also my friend told me that they added 8 holes to the course. I found 1 and 2 but couldn't find the rest. it would be a top 5 course I have ever played. I love the island hole. I almost aced it yesterday.
