I'm confused with my distance gaps
I've been having some really nice hucks recently, and I'm really pleased with the distance I've been getting, but I've noticed I'm getting very odd gaps in my distance.
I can put my voodoos out to about 290'-300' golf D buzzzes 330'-340' gazelles 350'-375' (glow gazelles really bomb for me) pd's 370'-390' archons 400'-420' (420 is a really good throw, consistently 400'-410') I feel like I should have bigger top end distance considering how far my putters and mids go, and I don't understand it. Am I wrong? is this a normal gap? I know everyone is gonna assume nose angle, but I'm not getting nose up stalls, I'm getting these lines straight about 15'-25' feet off the ground, depending on the type of shot.

play with big armed players.
I've played with everyone in my area who can break 400' at least once, and I've studied their throws/asked for advice every time. I've never had anyone refuse me advice, minus a few who simply said, "I really wish I could help, but I don't know what my trick is, I just throw and it works." Damn naturals, lol.

haha, I actually didn't mean you when I said it, but it does apply to you too.
I was thinking of Dave K. who crushes you in distance tbh

Well, about all I can say is when you look at it, how much faster is each step, really? Putter to Buzzz has a couple steps there, but then to the gazelle its what, a hole single speed? Then the PD is on the faster end of fairway/lower end of high speed driver (A tween between fairway and distance?) then a good jump to the Vulcan which IMO gets much less significant after speed 11 anyway.
Bottom line is you go from your Buzzz at 340' to Vulcan at 420' (top end) and thats a jump of 80'. I don't think it is that bad. That being said, you could be at a plateau as well that could be capping off your top end distances. I'm guessing in that range its probably got something to do with minor tweaks in timing. |

Good point techno, I guess I just expect a bigger gap than that. I'll have to get up with a local for timing help.
Also, archon, not vulcan. eww.

My feeling about this topic is this:
Having the ability to throw putters and mids a long way does not predicate the ability to throw for big D. Instead it means that your throwing technique is clean and OAT free, which is a good thing. I see exactly that, based only on the distances that you are showing. The next step is increasing arm speed. Doing so, while combined with clean form, will increase your max D.

Whoops! They came out with so many so quickly there that I guess I lost track and get them crossed all the time.
You got a lot of locals throwing further than you out that way? I played with a guy yesterday that was one of those that could throw really far but couldn't explain much. I asked him and all he could say was "I guess since I played so much baseball, it just came naturally to me." |

I dont see any problem with the distance gaps
types of discs, disc weights and types of plastics are often difference makers moreso than technique once your getting over 400 ft IMHO |
