Lookin for a couple new drivers.

So I'm looking for a slightly more overstable replacement for my Archon as my main driver, and then a slightly faster (10-11) replacement for my Tsunami in my overstable driver slot (tsunami is getting super beat up). Suggestions?

Grab a Villain for your overstable slot. It served me well, just overlapped with my Force too much.

Star Wraith or Destroyer will give you what you want. Wraith will be more like your Archon but smaller in the hand, and the Destroyer will have a similar hand feel to the Archon but HSS and LSS more like your Tsunami.

Marshall Street .com has bottom stamped versions of this disc on sale this month. It might be worth a look., FYI: I'm waiting for a paycheck to get a stack of Wraiths, so please be gentle.

I also throw Villains and they are WAY more overstable than a Archon, with less distance potential than the Wraith or Destroyer. It's a totally awesome disc, but more useful as a headwind or utility driver than a big D disc.

I was recommending them for the Tsunami slot lol. Maybe try a Trespass for the more stable Archon spot.

Thanks for the input guys. I don't know if I'm ready for a destroyer yet though, I only average around 320-330 on my drives at the moment (assuming I don't **** anything up, I'm good at that).

Does the villain have a thin rim? Like a firebird almost?

Heh, we all F one up every now and then. And most of us add 50' to our internet "distance". Ego is a MF.

The Archon was designed to fly like a broken in Wraith out of the box, but it has a slightly larger rim. A fresh Wraith will be a good bit more stable than the Archon and possibly will be easier to grip/throw, resulting in more distance. Eventually your Wraith will beat in to fly how the Archon flys out of the box, but by then you will be more comfortable and in tune with the Wraith and it will definately replace the Archon. Then you will get to start all over again with a fresh Wraith. Thus beginning a cycle.

I throw max D around 410', or 460' internet, or 380' golf D, and I still don't feel comfortable throwing a Destroyer. FWIW. Some people just love em.

Villain is a little bit wider than an Firebird, but not too much. It has a decent bit of rim slant which makes it feel smaller than the numbers would make you think. If you hate +rims you will hate the Villain. It's also not as OS as a Firebird.

It has more distance potential than the Firebird, but when you power up on a Villain it just wants to go long and straight with a healthy fade. Underpowered they will both punish you equally.
