So he jumped the gun 45 minutes early? Why 3:00 eastern? So brick and mortar stores can start selling them at 8:00 am but online has to wait until 3:00? I know this is MVP's deal but what's the reasoning behind that?

It's about respecting the manufacturer's wishes. They say 3:00, so Zam honored that, as everyone should.

My guess is MVP wanted to give the brick & mortar stores some support. Good for them, hard to compete these days.
Oh, and competition. Bunch of keyboards cleaned and greased to get the cart filled & paid for within 21 seconds ... 45 minutes seems a long time to all the merchants who respected the rules.

Yeah those guidelines are important but still alien to DG retail. I like the new change with the afternoon time, and I probably caused it with my midnight releases. This time should help all online retailers, and my only critical feedback to MVP was to consider a Thursday afternoon to accommodate a full-day cycle of shipping pickups.
I feel strongly about these unified releases but I shouldn't be protesting. I always end up sending MVP an apology for dogging a customer of theirs for any reason, so I may as well do it here to everyone including MVP & Infinite. Peace be the frisbee biz!
