Blisters

I have recently been getting blisters on my index finger on the side that touches the disc. I've never noticed this before. It really makes throwing very awkward since i throw RHFH. It's just between the first (closest to my palm) and second knuckle. Anyone else have this problem? Am I holding the disc to tight?

Thanks!

yes and no. I don't get blisters but I have a callous there..
I don't think that you're holding the disc too tight though, you may be throwing harder than you have before and your hands are just trying to get used to it...

Hmmm, haven't really been throwing harder. I have been throwing a bigger variety of discs for different shots.

Who knows, maybe I get one every year and just never really paid attention (or forgotten, I have slept since then after all lol). This just sucks since it covers the majority of my finger right there.

Are you throwing tons of practice shots? Or are you getting the blisters from just a regular round? I used to get blisters on the lower section of my middle finger from my fan grip if I was practicing up shots for too long. Now I tape up with some athletic tape that I keep in my bag if I am going to have a long practice session.

Not so much practice throws as just throwing a couple discs off the tee from time to time to find different lines with different discs. Thought about taping it up tomorrow when I go out, didn't know how that would effect my throw.

Yeah, tough it out. Keep them from getting infected and you'll be fine!

I've taken a week off for this exact issue. I had not only throwing more practice shots but also much harder. It's been blazing hot so it has been easy to take a week off, but I'm just trying to let my callous develop, didn't think about taping it and I might do that if it happens again.
