"what to wear" A Tier event

This weekend will be my first A Tier event and I am not sure what the proper attire is. I am not planning to arrive in flip-flops and a tank top....but what is acceptable attire for such an event.

I read that I can wear shorts or pants, but t-shirts are only allowed for prelim rounds. Collar shirt or drifit should be worn for final rounds.

I am planning to wear shorts, or jeans depending on the weather, an Innova t-shirt for round one (Friday), drifit type shirt for round 2 (Saturday) and a similar type shirt for round 3 (Sunday).

Do these fit the guidelines for an A tier event?

It really depends on how strictly the TD decides to enforce the dress code. In my experience, it's very loosely enforced, even for top level events.

"If you're focusing on what to wear to the event, the event will be about what your wearing"... -ancient proverbs

But seriously, focus on your play and don't dress like a scrub. Don't trip

Dress Code is only spelled out in the PDGA rules for National Tour and Major tournaments. At an A-Tier, you're only required to wear a shirt and shoes. I've never seen anyone get in trouble for a dress code violation, though I have seen a guy get told by the TD to put on a shirt.

Unless the TD is one of those who insists everyone be in polos and chinos, your planned attire should be fine. And frankly, if the TD is one of those polos and chinos guys, he really should be stating that on his flyer. :P

Nikko was wearing his stretchy zebra pants tucked into his mis-matched colorful socks at the Memorial!

Seriously...

Great, then my planned attire should be good enough for this weekend.

Seriously? He didn't read the part in the rule book about what color combinations are allowed? Ridiculous.

Tucking in your pant legs into your socks. Sounds like "Battle Dress" for a General Quarters (GQ) drill.

There has been a group that has tried to force us into collard shirts for years. I prefer that we keep disc golf less stuffy myself. Plus, I always get a chuckle when one of the old hippies shows up in tiedye.
