A follow up:

Hung out at Gordon Barnett after this post for the rest of the day. Got to meet some cool locals and played with them. Excellent course and had a great time. Found they have doubles tourney on Tues and Thurs, so I will be hitting that up and making a ton of new friends; So I don't have to feel sorry for myself, LOL.

I do when everyone is scared or working. I would rather not play a round by myself just because it is boring and I like to compete and push myslef and I dont seem to do that when I am by myself

I like playing by myself but I usually play better with friends. Alone I just kind of chill out and relax like Tim G said.

As for playing alone, I don't mind it so much but it is much better with friends...waaaaaay faster by yourself though!!
Don't forget to call me bro. I will be working a bit, so, calling will get us in a few rounds together

It does seem sometimes like there are a lot of fair-weather players around, doesn't it? Luckily for me I've got a gf who will convince me to go play no matter how hot it is, and who I can convince to play no matter how cold it is, so we'll go out and play in any weather that's not actually likely to kill us.

Will probably start playing alone this week. I usually practice alone at the park nearby though.

Alone

I play probably 95% alone. Can play at a whim when I have time, round goes quicker, I can play through large groups, don't have to wait on a buddy to show up, can play as slow or fast as I want, I don't really like to plan rounds out in advance ...

Usually I hit Belmont early in the morning before the crowds build up. I often play at Indian Riffle because it is relatively empty.

Playing alone is just a nice escape. If my brother lived in town I would mostly likely play all my rounds with him.

The largest group I have played with is three.
