Great video. I like the part on the grips with Fan vs. Power vs. 2 Finger. I've utilized them all at some point.

I live about 10 minutes away from Dion. Seen him out at a few courses around here...seems like a cool dude, unfortunately never got a chance to meet or play with him yet.

I got flamed on facebook for making a comment about how he's throwing off a downhill on a wide-open fairway. Not to discredit him or anything, it's a great video and he does air it out nicely, but I just want to get more distance on uphills and in the woods.

that is not downhill. that is a rolling hill and it ends up being very uphill. distance in the open translates into distance in the woods, there aren't secret mechanics for throwing far in the woods

^^^ This.

Also, this video is really designed for PURE D, not golf d, and I think they make that clear.

With that said, I think they did a very good job on this one. Nothing earth shattering, but good solid information and Dion seems like a good teacher.

I am struggling with his "base speed" explanation and theory that run-up adds velocity to the disc.... especially on a 360... specifically adding mph to the throw. Wouldn't planting your leading leg nullify any run-up velocity. All of your discs speed is coming from the hit point accelleration. He even alludes to this later in the video.
