So what's up with this thing? Is it still going down in the Fall?

Not sure about everyone else, but I was planning on doing another fall event for sure. I will probably do it the same way we did last years, have some options to choose from geographically, probably Cincy, Canton, Dayton, maybe a couple of others and go from there. I would like to have it in September again, but this time shoot for the beginning to middle of the month. I plan on starting polls, threads, and just general planning right after the Battle for the Border meet.

I'll help as much as I can if the votes point to the Cincy area. I know all the people involved in the best courses in the area and I'm sure they'd love having the visitors here.

Not speaking for anyone else but others in this area have said they would help also. If that's what's decided.

Would a half hour be too far for people to drive between courses? I've got an idea for a Northern OH location, camping at one course and 2 better courses a half hour away in opposite directions.

To me that makes sense. I'm smack dab in the middle of nearly everything so the drive doesn't really matter as much to me as some people, but the Cincy courses would be great to hit.

Just in case and for future reference for myself, what are the best camping options in that area? What would be best for a group like ours? I did a little checking around last summer for a trip for Jimi, Geoff, and myself, but we never ended up making that trip.

Add me to the list of Cincy folks that would be willing to help out in some capacity should the meet come down this way.

Depending on what I've got going on at the time, I might join the festivities. Never got to play Mt Airey when I went visited that area... I opted for the opportunity to play Cabin Creek. But Lincoln Ride was wonderful, and Idlewild's freakin' Idlewild.

And to JayDub's point in the OP: Might be a bit too much and too massive for this sort of thing:

What about seeing if the folks at Cabin Creek would open it up for a day? That's a fun course that I'm betting not that many have played. Might even be in good shape if they've recently hosted a Labor Day tourney.
