Very little of the work will be in potentially wet areas. The next step is to pull some baskets at a time and repaint them during winter.

I spotted a brand new basket on current Hole #2 on Saturday. It was good to see that the Round Lake Area Park District is making progress despite the cold weather.

For those interested, baskets on existing holes #2--#5 have now been painted/replaced/upgraded as shown in the previously posted picture.

Fairfield is a great course and I played it atleast once a day last summer. Really stoked for the upgrades, new tee pads will make a solid change. I may be wrong but I swear I seen people knocking over garbage cans just for the aluminum which is ****ty but I would always pick up the cans lying down and pick up the trash. Gotta keep our course clean

I doubt there's going to be any progress while things are thawing and drying. Fairfield gets flooded in the spring usually. I'm sure you can play it right now, but it will be a mud fest. They will probably resume work once it dries out and they can get equipment in there.

I know how the course is in the spring it seems everytime I go there it's muddy or raining and I don't go back for a long time.

Progress has been slow on the re-design because of the weather, but the 18-19 existing holes are still in the ground and playable.

You can always skip the wooded holes where we typically find the most mud.
