lol, I understand the lay up and the approach shot. Some of my better holes have been by playing a hole "safe" I throw a Comet a lot to get to the dogleg so I can do an upshot (mainly because my backhand is my handicap). Instead of trying to crank a driver and ending up in an area that's unplayable and takes a shot just to get back onto the fairway that I could have easily gotten past with a couple of "safe" shots.

That'd make it too easy. There are a couple legit 4s out there, but not many. I can shoot about 3-5 over on pro par from long tees. That pin placement up on the mound kills me every time though.

I do get a kick out of reading the HOD threads for holes I've played, and the kind of smoke people blow about their game. Last time I played this was with a friend who routinely throws 450+ and he couldn't get all the way up the hill with a Vulcan.
