Guys, he's asking for an OS driver. Not flip city. Any of the overstable drivers suggested at the beginning would be good. I'd go for a Pred (my personal choice) or something less stable, like a Teebird or OLF.

I actually have a Starfire Pro. I really like it, but it's too similar to the SL for me...very straight flying. I want the large s-curve ability of the XCal without the strain on my arm for the speed.

@ManU - I believe want something overstable. I think truly overstable discs like the QOLF I have will just bomb and dive anhyzer, despite the overstability.

Is there even a difference between very overstable and a disc that can s-curve well? Or is it maybe my throwing style...perhaps too much anhyzer angle?

Good reason. Pro Starfires are SL's.

A Champion Starfire or a Star Starfire will be a lot more stable than an SL. Basically giving you the flight you describe. They are way beefier than Orion LFs.

I agree with discspeed, try the PD. If you want something overstable but slower than a PD or teebird so you don't have to whip your arm as much, check out a Banshee.

I think the qolf and the champ eagle x are two of the best discs for working s shots. What is it that doesn't work with your qolf? Would practicing be a better way to fix it than buying a new disc?

beat me to it. starfire's go straight further before the fade kicks in, but it's a healthy fade. I like em for bh and fh. i have 3 star's and they're great

try a light ( <170 ) firebird. you dont need to get an old one, the new ones are plenty stable out off the shelf. ive tried heavier ones, and monsters and xcals but the firebird will actually give me some nice flight.

i do mostly backhand - but the FB is my forehand disc when i need it.

The more I think about it, the more I think I need to do just that. I think maybe I should try and get more anhyzer curve. I'm probably throwing too straight and hard with that anny angle.

If others are having success with the QOLF for this then I'll just need to work on it.

Have you tried throwing the QOLF flat or hyzer? I usually throw mine flat or with a bit of hyzer depending on the line I need.

Usually flat. If I'm trying to get max distance, I'll throw it with a bit of anhyzer. I think my problem, however, is that I'm not letting the disc do the curve by throwing it flat. Instead I think the anhyzer angle is just causing the overstable drivers to dive out of the hand.,
