FR = first run
CFR = champion fund raiser, or candy fund raiser

CFR can be course fundraiser or tourney fundraiser
applies to special normally not available Innova discs in rare plastics for that disc

it got nicknamed candy as it was a treat and early champ plastic was rare and unusual at the time

CE is the early runs of champion plastic that are coveted for their durability and flight patterns. Most covet them as collectibles thus the insane prices.

My understanding of the origin of the term "candy plastic" was in reference to to the fact that the transparent, champion style plastics resemble hard candy.

Your version did make me lol though.

You guys are all close on CFR. According to Innova it means Custom Fund Raiser.

"Since Innova can not provide cash sponsorship for every tournament or a cash donation for every charity event or fundraiser, we created the Custom Fund Raiser Program (CFR)."

CFR was Candy Fund Raiser, but then they changed the program to include custom runs of DX discs and changed the name to Custom Fund Raiser. Since everybody just said "CFR" nobody noticed when the name changed.

We always said that the CE and early Z discs were "Candy" plastic because they were "Sweet!" I have no idea where the term actually came from.
