I just noticed that creekside has 18 reviews and lakeside has 16. Can't wait until they drop in the top 10 and the rest of the world realizes that these are probably the two best courses in tx.

I've never played Shawshank or Dallas area, but I've played Austin and East TX and Selah Lakeside is totally on another level. I can't imagine a better TX course than Lakeside.

^ yea I agree. Shawshank is an easy third for me. I have played a little in dallas including Harry Myers, alot in austin, and even some in SA. Selah is 1-2 in texas for me.

One thing that Shawshank and Selah have in common is this magical aura that falls over you when step on the property. You can just feel that you're about to experience something special

everyone makes it sound so good! can't wait to go later on in the fall one weekend! Out of town travellers: where do you stay at when you visit? I'm thinking about renting a cabin at Lake Bob Sandlin State Park. They are only like $40 a night.

Yea, staying on the grounds is the best thing to do. Its in the middle of no where and its a DRY county. Did you hear that? A DRY COUNTY.

The corral house is awesome, i posted so info on it earlier in this thread. But, staying on the lake doesn't sound all that bad either. Its prolly a 45 in drive.

My wife and I stayed in one of the cabins and it was absolutely amazing. It is worth every penny and I promise you will want to steal the bedding as I'm pretty sure it is quilted in heaven. As far as it being dry....the county line isn't far so buying beer is no big deal.

well I'm a broke college student from LA Tech. $40 a night for an A/C cabin for me and 3 or 4 guys sounds pretty solid. Those rooms on Selah's website look niiiiiice though

I hope the Corral House is good for 5 old men. We're going to give it a try for our Disc Golf Weekend this year.

I am pretty excited about playing there.

We usually spend quite a bit of cash on gasoline on these weekend excursions, so the cost is about the same as a trip down to Nacogdoches or playing the courses down I-35.

Someday, I am going to make it up there from Dallas. It is reasonable to expect to play both courses in the same day?
