If your gonna hit Flip, do it when you have the time to play the other courses in that area:

Whitehall
Beauty

Beast
Leviathan

Check out the reviews.
I'm not saying Flip isn't worth the drive (it is), but you'll spend 6-7 hours driving there and back. You'll likely feel your time's better spent staying put, and playing the other courses listed in the poll - all great courses on their own and a all in the area.

IMO, give yourself a couple of days to enjoy western MI DG.

It's obvious how that would turn out. The Wolverine would choke on the Buckeye.

Ponds at Lakeshore is also in Ypsi. Bandemer is on the way as well.

Alright guys and gals, let's talk about these courses. As it was brought up, Independence Lake is much closer to Hudson Mills and there is the problem of the Sunday Doubles or whatever at Black Locust.

Here are our options:

1. Flip the days.
Saturday Singles at Black Locust
Sunday Team Event (Two Rounds) at Hudson Mills

2. Switch the courses.
Saturday Team Event (Two Rounds) at Hudson Mills
Sunday Singles at Independence Lake

I am actually leaning toward option 2 myself. The reason being is that I know, if people are up to it, that people could hit up Black Locust after the team event at Hudson Mills and you would be able to play all three for the cost of one since they are on the same park system. Otherwise you will have to pay for Hudson Mills one day, then pay again at Black Locust the next. Basically you could save the $5 parking and $2.00 per person to golf if you play them the same day.

With option two you would also be able to play Independence Lake and then head to Rolling Hills in the same way. It's $9 per car load to play each, but they too are on the same park system and if you play them in the same day you only have to pay once, so that would save another $9.

What do you all think. Also...where are all the confirmed members? We need more people.
