I "enhanced" my rack today with some 1" slip-on things with 1/2" PVC and elbows and whatnot.

The slip-on things are tight but movable. I can slide them back and forth and position them where I like so that discs can lean against them from both sides, providing internal support to have more discs.

With 6" spacers in my rack (front to back - produces roughly a 7.5" depth center of PVC to center of PVC) and the threaded-to-slip-on 1/2" adapter piece, and the 1/2" elbow, the length of the 1/2" PVC ended up being 3 inches to get the slip-on pieces to be at the perfect width. The 1" PVC is pretty rigid but these supports also stabilize the middle of the rack and will prevent them from spreading over time from the weight of discs.

I could trim (Dremel or something) part of the snap-on tubing if I just wanted a curved piece to sit against the tubing, but it wouldn't help with the support, and though they snap on pretty tight as I said they're still able to be slid and moved on the "rails."

I actually have a couple ideas for a rack. take 2" pvc pipe make a standard rack with a 5" spacing, but put a pipe on the top tier so i can drill holes and have it hang.

Any suggestions on this idea?
