The Dye A Day Thread! (Part II)

what are you using to get those nice sharp lines for your spin dyes? I tried a (cheap) paint brush, and a q-tip, and I can make a circle, but nowhere near anything as crisp as yours.

And your marbling is masterful (said Capt. Obvious). The last two you posted, did you 'push' the disc down into the SC bath to get the swirls? They're just soooo awesome...

Copy away, I know at least one frequent poster on this forum has one as their avatar and it also very well may end up on this ESP Drone sitting next to me. I choose to do that dye cause it was quick and seemed "more marketable" as a fundraiser. Last I looked top bid was only $21 for a Star firebird 173g might be worth a bid.

drkstr and dyeing, thanks, it means alot. That's my all time favorite Christmas special. That's the one I wish I didn't have to rush, maybe I could've stuck yukon cornelius in the group

I thought that technique looked familiar. I didn't think it looked sloppy at all, I thought it was pretty bada$$, I'm really surprised it didn't get more love.

I'm using a cheap small brush but a couple of new ones are on my christmas list! And no I try to push 'em down only enough to ensure complete contact.

What do you use to spin the disc to get those circles? I got to get up to date on dyes. I have some old rit but where is the best place to get idye? Here are a few of mine. All hand cut too.

Nice gippy! I'm using a box fan for spin painting (here's a link), and getting my iDye from Dharmatrading.

Today's fun, too bad they choose to center the entire print image, it would have looked better if they had centered the circle
