I'm gonna venture a guess that you had a brush in your hand before you had a disc in your hand. Excellent brushwork DyeingtoPlay, please keep 'em coming.

Will, StoneWall, bmx, crazy, Dan, and Russell.... thank you all for your kind words!
bmx.... that is a really cool looking dye..... I would definitely try that one again with oracal651 instead. Dan... correct... lifelong artist, 2 year thrower and dyeing for about a year now

Hey DTP...how do you wipe off the extra dye without it smearing?

![]() Always keep clean acetone and paper towels/cotton balls handy. The dye will set in very quickly but can also be manipulated and partially removed to create the smooth shading transitions. I use a 'scumbling' technique with a nearly dry brush. Also... if there is a lot of dye 'sitting' on top I just wait for it to dry then rinse under cold water to remove excess dye without it setting in. The process is very similar to watercolor painting, but the main difference being that on plastic you will need to do several layers with water rinses between before you achieve the colors/intensity you are after.

Dying, Your ability to shade is incredible. It's obvious you have skills with a brush. As always I'm extremely impressed. That is a type of work I can only dream about doing.

DyeingToPlay, I was out of touch for the weekend and I come back to find you back in the game in a big way. I can only echo what everyone else has said. Amazing work.

Eky and koogs, thanks! It means a lot coming from fellow dyers. I have to give credit where it's due... Eky, I think it was your Native Maiden dye that inspired me to start messing around with painting so thanks for providing the jump start.
