Best way to break in a new disc?

Got new Ape that came in yesterday that is super flat and seems much more beefy than the Ape I just lost. Any suggestions to help break it in a little quicker?

Just whack it up against a few trees... intentionally or otherwise.

I think that would rough up the edge without doing the other things that tree impacts tend to do to the edge of your disc.

Whenever I want to break in a new disc I do two things.

1.) use some fine grade sandpaper and remove any and all flashing around the rim and edge. Some people use knives or just rub the disc on a table, tree, whatever.
2.) Bend it. When your disc hits a tree, it tacos, and that's what helps them break-in. So bend it in taco shapes at different angles.

Agree 100%, also throw a few overhand shots with it. This makes quick work of a stable disc.

1) Go to field
2)Throw thumbers and tomahawks until your arm gets tired
3)Repeat as needed

This will naturally and quickly break in discs by tacoing into the ground hard. Unless it's a XxX in opto plastic...good luck with that.
