My shoulder and elbow on my right side used to get very sore from throwing. This was when I first started playing and I was strong arming. Since I've improved my form I've had no issues at all and I play about 12 rounds per week, and I'm almost 40 years old.

I really haven't had many disc golf injuries, a few pulled muscles here and there but that's about it.

I don't have any injuries that are a result of playing but I have two that affect my game. Both resulted in long layoffs and a diminished game after my comeback. In fact, my shoulder has been acting up for about a month. (I'll get it checked out next week.) It's to the point that even putting is painful.

Only once did I get pain/slight injury from golf. It was when 9/11 happened. I was off work that day so as soon as I heard what was going on I turned the TV on and was glued to it for the next 4 hours.

I realized I needed to try to get my mind off of what I was watching so I went to the closest course and without stretching I threw 18 holes with a lot of anger and emotion.

The pain I had for next few days in my back reminded me to stretch before each round.

Besides that just cuts and scratches from the bushes.

Wow! You sir are injury prone! I've been playing almost two years and the worst that has happened to me is hitting my hand on a tree on a follow through. Thought it was broken, but played the very next day.

Twisted my ankle when I stepped in deceptive dip in the side of a hill...I have two bad ankles from years of soccer and ultimate, sprained both 20+ times by now, so no biggy there. Strained my lower back driving once, that was re-aggravating a previous injury and I do it about once a year, disc golf happened to trigger it last summer. The only injury solely related to disc golf is a soreness I've been getting in my wrist lately, but it's minor and hopefully stays that way.

I've taken a few falls on slippery tees and in the mud at some courses. The worst was a slip off an elevated tee at Highland Park in Joliet,Illinois. The tee is only about a foot above the ground but it still messed me up. At the same park I slipped and caught myself with my throwing arm during a doubles match. Strained the sh*t out of my chest and had horrible pain when throwing. Still managed at 50' par save on 17 to secure the win.

Just soreness and a few twisted ankles. Mainly from stepping in holes. I usually injure myself most often while retrieving discs from hard to get places. Steep banks and whatnot. Nothing serious though.

OP-do yourself a huge favor and get a hot tub. A cold tub too if you can swing the cost. They do wonders on a beat up body. Most professional sports training rooms have them for a reason.

No real injuries to say from Disc Golf, but I've had a lot of injuries that pain me while I play. I'm a motocross guy who grew up racing and also racing bmx, and I am a former collegiate athlete. As such, I've experienced somewhere in the range of 22 broken bones and countless strains/sprains. At 29, I'm feeling those a lot of the time that I'm on the course. However, I seem to feel the healed up bone injuries somewhat less than the soft tissue damages. I seem to feel those the most, and never really seem to go away completely...
