Disc Golf shop nearly burns down

My local shop came very close to burning up this morning. A fire in Winona MN consumed an Islamic Center, and insurance agency, and a sporting goods store. The disc golf shop is the green awning on the right, Pipe Dreams. They have smoke damage, but fortunately were spared flames and water damage.

I watched the fire at 2am, and it looked like the firemen had it contained, but after I went home it spread through attics to adjacent buildings.

I hope the guys at Pipe Dreams get on their feet soon, as they are a catalyst for cool DG stuff in the area, and good guys to boot.

So far they are saying nothing suspicious.

Thankfully, nobody was hurt, but lots of folks displaced.

With the name "Pipe Dreams", I was thinking this was a head shop that also sold discs.

Nice website for the business http://www.pipedreamtoys.com/index.html

Yeah, like Mark I figured based on the name the place was a head shop that also sold DG items.

Hope they are able to recover, and maybe if they have good insurance they will even be able to remodel or relocate to a larger shop.

They should really think about changing the name tho.

They actually sell children's toys as well as discs - Melissa and Doug. They couldn't be further from a head shop. I could understand the notion though.
