Thumbs up Hillcrest Farm DGC, PEI

Has anybody had the "insider" opportunity to play this place? It's been years since I've been to PEI but this course might drive me to get a passport this year. I've also noticed that there is no information on this course on DGCR?!?
Here is a link on FB,

This place looks pretty sick. PEI has some of the coolest looking forests I've ever seen.

I highly encourage people to check out this course once it's up and running. Amazing property and wonderful people.

Not sure what the status is right now. Obviously some people have been playing, though it's not officially finished and open. In any case, you'd want to contact the Best family before planning a visit. I'll post here if I learn more about the status.

Looks like awesome terrain and a cool forest. Combine that with a Houck design and it sounds like a winner to me.

my wife is heading to PEI for work the first week of May

I'm going to meet her out there so we can go play this course. I will contact the Best family shortly. Probably looking to play May 10/11.

so I played this course today
I'd do a review but I can't find it when I search the course browser

in brief
what an excellent challenging course!
very much like Logan Lake in BC. Lots of trees. Baskets on slopes. A good mix of long and short holes (some very long holes). Excellent use of elevation. The odd water hazard. Trouble if you get off the fairway in some spots. Great clubhouse.

In terms of quality, signage, directions to teeboxes, and challenge this course is for me up there with T2 at Turkey Lake in Florida.

I played it twice. Once from each of the long and shorts. I played the shorts second and was rushed and probably shot worse.

If you are ever out this way you must play the course. Well worth it.

Sounds like it needs added to the directory, you've got the most up to date info.
