Minnesota Courses

I've played Blue Ribbon a few times and love it! By far the greatest in this state, BUT outside of BRP what are the best courses in MN? Some maybe lesser known courses that get missed by the reviews?

Kaposia is a great course also, along with Lakewood, but not as good as BRP. Justin Trails >>> BRP anyday tho.

bryant lake

kaposia needs to get their act together. $5 and no maintenance, garbage cans, woodchips, etc? aside from that, it's an awesome.

Kaposia is my favorite course in the Twin Cities. I like it better than BRP even. But the others are right, that course is in poor shape and it's hard to tell where the money is going.

Bryant Lake and Elm Creek are two beautiful and well maintained courses that are also fun to play.

One more vote for Kaposia being the most interesting set of disc golf shots in that area over BRP.

BRP, The valley, hidden lake(st. augusta), kaposia, lakewood, bryant lake, hyland hills in that order of the ones I have played.....

BRP has everything but elevation and the majestic layout is a bit more challenging than the regular casual layout. I really liked the valley and I really liked hidden lake (Its not completely finished but man was it tough, bring bandaids) Kaposia is nice also. As far as where the money goes I don't know the answer, but I believe they are saving and working with Fairway Flyers for improvements. Bryant Lake is good for the "awe" factor of seeing landscaping you won't see on any other disc golf course, but the course was fairly easy. Hidden Lake was by far the most challenging.....but like I said, bring bandaids. I heard Becker City is nice as well. If it wasn't -10 and under a foot of snow for most of the winter I would consider moving there, but I'm kind of a woose. All in all you need atleast a couple weeks of two courses a day to really get the full affect. I still have nightmares of hole 4 at BRP and the ninja burrs at Hidden Lake.

I forgot to add........Kaposia definitely has the most variey of shots, but it just didn't do it for me.......Once they put some more of that money into it, I would put it up there with BRP, Hidden Lake, and the Valley......but right now I thinks it #4 in the area

I know Hidden Lake is a fairly new course-2009 i think? When did you play it last? is it still really rough/brushy/overgrown?

Giants Ridge is also gorgeous but it's about 4 hours north of the twin cities.

My ranking BRP is #1 AINEC, then Bryant, then the Valley (which I dislike but is a very solid course)

I will not rank Kaposia above 4th as I have a big problem with paying to play a course where the money is not put back in.

Its not in MN but it is right on the border in WI. Mont du Lac - Eagle's Peak is one of the hardest most underrated courses in the area IMO.

I have never played Giants Ridge but I have heard really good things. I may be going up there this weekend to play both Mont du Lac and Giants if the snow has melted by then. I think they got a foot of snow at Giants two days ago.
