|
3 a.m. in the parking lot of a taco joint. Two drunk guys and two VERY drunk girls. We threw discs in the parking lot until after 4 a.m. We used lamp poles for targets.
I've seen both guys out at the course every once in a while, but no girls. Woodpecker

The manager at my restaurant knew that I played and heard about a tourney and told me about it. It turned out it was a doubles tourney so I got him signed up too. Now he plays on occasion, but I'm still trying to get him to be a regular player.

The Public Library. I practice right next door, and now all the librarians know me, and the main researcher that works there now playes every weekend.

i just talked to the guy when i dropped off my mixer and he is already talking about getting a portable basket, and he hasnt even bought discs yet

In college I had a do a project for physics class. I decided to do "The Physics of Disc Golf." Explaining why discs turn which way. Why some are more stable than others. How to throw, and different throws for different outcomes. Most people in the class had never heard of it except for a guest who was the advisor for the Ultimate Frisbee team at Michigan State. After the presentation I handed out maps of the local courses and started seeing a few of them out there within a week.
