Tell me about Tanks

Ok, ever since getting a feel of an R pro tank on the course today, I am curious as to what yall think of them. It looks like they are the closest thing to an SE rhyno, but I have neer used Ching before so what is their fusion plastic? In addition do you like the tank for a putter? It looks like a disc that will do well in all weather conditions.

A Tank is basically a beadless SE Rhyno. Not as stable as a Rhyno. Not sure where you got an R-Pro Tank, the Tank fusion plastic is the same as SE Rhyno plastic. Good putter if the SE Rhyno is too stable for you but you want the chain grabbing goodness of the "rubber" plastic.

I think if you search, you can find lots of info about a tank. With that said, I have owned both fusion/SE and Rpro. The fusion plastic is SE. I have a SE ryhno and they feel the same. The fusion tank is a rhyno top and a small bead aviar bottom. The r pro tank is a rhyno top and an aviar putt and approach bottom. Difference being in the rpro doesn't have a bead. The tank will fly like a beat rhyno out of the box. I personally like a rhyno better. If you don't want an overstable putter then go with the tank. Be careful because the ching tanks had 4 stamps and the chains stamp in dx and fusion look really similar. Make sure it says fusion on the stamp.

They sell them for fundraisers. Disc golf values usually has some on their website.

That was just a branding deal. They came out with the Sniper, Bomb and Tank with regular stamps, then ran the Y2K editions in 1999. Once Y2K came and went, they must have decided they liked the look of those stamps and kept them with the Y2K part removed. We still called them the Y2K stamps, though. The Stinger came out late enough that it only ever had the Y2K stamp.

Ok, now things are starting to make sense. With SE rhynos being so rare, why don't people just buy tanks for putters?
