Yo-yo Cursed Disc

I have a red Impact that I traded for on this site. After losing this disc in the creek at the Brighton course a friend of mine went in a few weeks later and pulled out the disc. The following weekend I threw the disc at a tournament and the disc was stuck at the top of a very large unclimbable tree. A few days later the TD called me to let me know that he had retrieved the disc. While practicing for another tournament I chucked the disc in to the water. This was about three weeks ago. Last night I get a call from a guy who found the Impact in the water at the course I lost it at. I want to get the disc back even though I have replaced it, but it seems like this disc is trying to get away from me.

Is this disc cursed? Should I trade it away? Anyone else have any yo-yo disc stories?

Keep it... sounds more like it wants to find it's way back to you than anything. Rare I get a call back on any of the discs I lose.

I haven't had a yo-yo disc, but have had a yo-yo hat. Lost it out in the middle of the north channel sailing during a fairly big storm, blew right off my head. About a week later we were in a marina talking to the boat in the next slip, and the topic of 'weird stuff you find floating around' came up. They pulled out a bucket full of stuff, and sure enough, my hat was right on top.

Got a first run eco star xcal that I lost and a friend of mine bought it at PIA. He paid 13 for it which was what I paid for it new so I told him he could keep it versus me paying for it again. Well he had it for 2 days and lost it on the same course I lost it on. Well I got it back after a friend of ours found it. So now its a challenge to see how many times we can loose it and still gt it back

Ha ha, I know a friend who wants an Impact, maybe I can trade him and see what kind of luck he has with it.

I've got a red impact for trade that's only been field tested once. I already had a spot filled for how it flies

Bad Dry/Wet Ratio

In early May I got a Star Roc from a traveling player on a Thursday before a big event. On the next day I tried to throw a short approach shot with it abd it went into the lake. I could see the disc but it was about 3 feet too far to reach with my retriever pole. I got it back on Sunday after the event when someone went in after other discs.

Four days after that event, I played the Thursday Handicap round and sure enough, I tossed my new Roc into the creek. It went into the deep, dark, murky water out of sight. So now I've thrown it 3 times and it's gone wet twice. It was probably 2 weeks later when it found it's way back to me.

Once I got it back, I was torn about using it or just putting it in the collection box. Then I lost another in the creek so I put the new Roc back in the bag. Then, yep, I somehow managed to toss it in again. I was able to get it out of the creek but by this time I was getting amused by the many times it had gone wet. Out of 7 times throwing the disc, 5 had been water shots.

I've kept it in the bag and it has finally reached an acceptable wet/dry ratio.
