Goshen-Another New Course in Cincinnati
Here are the latest pictures of the progress on the course in Goshen, OH. We get a new course around here about once a year. For disc golf, this is a great area to live in.

Is it OK for me to call you a bastard?
![]() Around here, we've had the same three-four courses forever. It seems plan keep getting made and then shelved. Very frustrating as I think variety makes the game more enjoyable.

![]() One of the big reasons that disc golf grows around here is the parks people see the benefit of having a course in their park. In the late 70s Miami Whitewater course was installed to give the teens loitering something to do and it worked. Mt Airy was installed to stop criminal behavior. They saw how just having the temp course installed stopped the crime. BTW (and this will REALLY piss you off ) the criminal activity moved to the other side of the park, which is bigger, so they are talking abut adding another 18 holes over there.

Been talking about this possibility with a fellow discer at work. How awesome will Mt. Airy be if they add another 18'er? That would make for a great freakin day of disc golf.

Back on topic....
Can't wait to play this new Goshen course, looks fantastic. Looks tight, but not Idlewild tight. I've heard it should play somewhere between Banklick and Idlewild, which would be amazing. |

I just returned from a trip to the "big 3" and my sister lives on the east side, this will just give me another reason to visit more often!

A course map of the upcoming Goshen course. (Kathryn Stagge Marr Park)
![]() Here's what one of the guys who's doing most of the work on the course had to say about it on the GCFDA forums... Quote:

I feel guilty for not getting out to Goshen to help get the course ready. It is a nice piece of property. I agree that this course will be a top course in the area when it is in the ground.

Myself and a couple friends are hoping to get out there this weekend and maybe next. Gonna bring some portable baskets and hopefully get a chance to play some of the holes.

Got out to help this past Saturday and had a chance to walk the majority of the course. Definitely seems like it's gonna be one of the top courses in the area. Good piece of land to work with, I just wish it was closer to my house.
They still need lots of help, so if anyone has the time I know they'd appreciate it. I'm hoping I'll be able to get up there another few times to help. Tee boxes should be going in soon! |
