I have been very tempted by that Saint....very. Just can't make myself do it just yet. Give me time.

I think I'd get it for a wall hanger. I already have 2 GL's and one Opto that I use all the time. I have the GL Pure with that stamp that I'd like another for a hanger. Just can't justify that at the moment, either.

I don't know if I'm imagining things but if you release the saint nose up, does it seem like it has rocket boosters when it fades back down? I mean when it gets up to high and starts falling back to earth it seems like it falls faster than any other disc I have ever thrown. Maybe it's the same thing that makes it glide?

So this disc has been out for a little while now. I am wondering if the saint is on par with the river yet? The river is clearly lat64's most popular driver. I have stated the saint will be up there with the river in popularity, how long until the saint reaches river status. For me the river never clicked and the saint was love at first throw.

I have had the same experience. I love the saint and the strikers but I hate the river. Hate might be a bit strong because hate is my go to word for the groove.

I have both in my bag, and have uses for both. Right now my go-to driver is my eagle. But thats because my local course doesnt really have a long enough holes to need the saint on. The saint flies pretty close to my eagle, just longer. As far as the river goes, I have a love-hate relationship with it. Anything where I need to throw an anny, the river amazes me every time I let it go. If I had to pick one disc though, it would definitely be the saint. More versatile IMO. Thanks for bringing that up MrGlass. Now excuse me while I go buy some more saints since I dont have enough yet.

Not sure when it will eclipse the River. May depend on how it flies when beat to hell. If it becomes a neutral, easy line shaper, then it will definitely eclipse the River. It will take a while to find out since we only have it in Opto and GL. My GL is showing wear, but no flight alteration at all. The Opto is made of steel. It won't beat in in my lifetime. IMO, its a bit early to be thinking of taking over the River's spot. Maybe after the Saint has been out a year or so...then take a look. FWIW, I don't have a River in my small bag at all now. I have at least one in the big bag, sometimes two, but rarely use them. Wind has been the biggest factor for that of late. The Saint is getting most of the work now.

leb, I rarely reach for my S-EX now. The Saint powers down nicely with almost the exact same flight for me. I can do it all with one disc now. My Eagle X was my go-to driver for a long time. Not so much anymore. It was a tough pill to swallow, but my game is better as a result.
