I throw a TEEBIRD plus mold which for me are stable. The saint is like my plus molds with a touch of turn. I like the Opto plastic's durability and grip. A great disc for any player!

If that is what floats your boat.....

I don't sleep with mine, but I never leave home without it. It just keeps on getting better and better for me.

Just picked up an opto saint to complement my GL. Opto is definetly more overstable, GLhas a tiny touch of turn and finishes softly left. I throw around 300 so not getting a major turn out of the GL (it's heavier).

I'm glad they pair together, I previously paired an opto striker with the GL saint but I didn't like the striker rim as much.

Right now I am throwing a QJLS (slightly beat) and it has a bit more turn in it than I want. I also throw a max weight flx Pred for the stable shots. I would like to keep the Pred but I was thinking I could go Saint + River and have my drivers set.
Reference: I throw my QJLS avg 350, max 400. Pred 360-410.
my answer might be too simple relative to the questions you ask but:

a) I think you will want to keep the Pred...I think that is what you are implying in your post
in any event a max weight Opto is not going to replace what a Pred will do and certainly not at your power level

b) it's been a long time since I have thrown a TB however if I am to assume that your TB is mildly domey (rather than flat like a mythical 11x or KCP) then a max weight Opto will have a similar type of flight as the TB

however,

the Saint may have slightly more turn and may not be quite as wind resistant as the TB
but having a slightly larger wing on the Saint may equalize the TBs HSS

a heavy Opto Saint may have better distance potential than the TB (due to the speed and glide)

a heavy Opto Saint will not have exactly the same flight as a TB but you should be able to get similar if not better results

you could go
Pred, Saint, JLS or River

depending on how seasoned your QJ is might be the consideration as to whether or not you need to use it or the River
a River is more likely to hold a turn all the way and not fade back I would suggest

if it helps this is my set up in that range

CE EXP1 168 and 175 (your Pred) (headwind uses, flex shots)
GL Saint 168 (tailwind distance, flat straight shots)
Opto Saint 175 (straight shots with fade)
GL River 170 (turnovers)

Pretty much what ManU said.

I am using flippy GL Rivers, Stable GL Saints, Overstable OLFs.

Have you tried OLFs yet? If you like JLS's, i promise you'll like it.

Yeah, the Saint has enough turn to where you can shape better lines with it than the Teebird, but enough stability to where it isn't going to flip unless the wind is zooming. It kicked with Teebird out of my bag.

I have two coming. One Opto one GL. Both max weight. I will be comparing / contrasting with a max weight s-pd and a 173 p-pd. Any thoughts on how these discs compare? I'm considering using one of these two molds in various weights/plastics as my go to driver. How would they pair with a max weight Opto River?
