I don't know if I'd consider the Saint an 'overstable' disc, at all. It's like the driver version of a Fuse to me. I absolutely love my 170g opto.

Some of these guys are over, some, it seems, are under. A lot of that is how you throw it and the power you have, too. Both of mine that I use are identically Overstable. HSS 0 and LSS 1.5-2. Very TB and TL like bordering on Eagle. Definitely not understable by any means. Senor Glass talks of hyzer flipping his....if I do that there is no flip, only hyzer.

^my gold line it the one i am hyzer flipping and its seen some trees. After the initial break in the gold line is staying where it is and yes its an easy hyzer flipper. I only have about 350 power so take it however you will.

Barely 300 power due to age and injury and slowly rebuilding thanks to the Saints. My GL has seen some trees as well, and a nasty run in with a telephone pole, but the stability remains so far. The pole taco'd it, but after sitting flat overnight, it flattened out to new. Thing is tough. Opto is made of steel and won't beat in in my lifetime. Is your 164 the flipper, or a heavier one? My GL main is a 167 and I have a 168 backup I have yet to throw. Looked at Altitude...would have cleaned them out of Saints if they had any.

I'm beginning to wonder if the Saint will let/make me take the Bolt out of my bag
for distance HW duties I'm using the Giant

I need to keep checking for a little bit yet but it seems to me that I can get virtually the same tail wind distance out of a Saint as I can a Bolt

I need to measure a full on Saint shot
my best with a Bolt was (allegedly) 480

and I make no claims to the accuracy of that distance...I downloaded a ball golf distance app
that is what I used...it gives a measurement in meters that I just "googled" for a distance in feet

it would be nice if I could do this and get a bit more mold minimization

I do think the Bolt is easier to flip up though

ManU I have never thrown the bolt, but i would think it needs less height than the saint. So maybe it could fill that role but the saint likes a little more height to work its magic. Meh im just trying to think it out with you. The one thing and lines i don't like with the saint yet is lower lines. I find myself reaching for the solf more in that role. I know the saint can do it but i cannot yet.

I don't think the Saint can get Bolt distance. I use a King (basically same as the Bolt) for understable max distance shots.

I have to get the TM Bolt up in the air to get it to work better. Saint will work its lines 6' off the deck no problem for my max distances. The Bolt will also do that for me, but won't stretch out near as far as the Saint on the low lines. I also get good distance up in the air with the Saints. They just seem a bit more versatile to me compared to the Bolt. Really, the only time I grab a Bolt is on wide open shots needing max D or more and in very windy conditions. Other than that, the Saint gets the nod.

^good to hear! I suck at lower lines. If you can do it it makes me think I can too! I would really like the saint and olf as my fastest discs.
