im a local, but have never really been active in the club. i plan to volunteer at worlds again as i did in 2010...is there somewhere to sign up? should i just call brian? or is it way too soon for anyone to worry about volunteers

*not for gossip, im talkin for info on upcoming tourneys and stuff. i miss out on everything cuz im not on FB

Went out to Lemon today- Blue baskets not being used for Worlds were already pulled....? It sucked not having #13's basket to put on before playing Gold. (PS- shot a 60 on Gold with no 2s).

What are the anticipated changes to Gold? Whats the word on 3 (Silver basket?) 13 (new tee, Silver tee?)? 16?

Stopped at Three Floyds Brewery on the way home- if you like good beer, make sure you take the time to visit Three Floyds.

That's odd that they would completely pull the stuff not being used for worlds, some signage would probably be sufficient for being able to practice the tourney layout.

The draft map shows the new extension on Gold hole 13 will be played. Gold tee-silver basket played on hole 3 to reduce slow ups there.

Some existing baskets will be relocated to complete the holes on the Super White temp course which should be open at some point for daily play several months before Worlds. (No new baskets being purchased.) Original Blue course will essentially be incomplete until after Worlds.

That explains it. I was wondering what happened to the Blue course when I was there last weekend. We brought a buddy with us that has never been to Lemon Lake and we wanted to get the typical Red/Blue/Silver loop in, but instead ended up doing Red/Silver/Gold. Not that I'm complaining.

Thanks, Chuck. Nothing doin with 16 Gold then? Not that great of a hole and you are throwing at 15s tee.

I was thinking that it was a shame that Blue 18 fairway couldn't be put to use in any way...

The plans for the alternate courses aren't completed yet and Blue 18 will likely be in there. Nothing wrong with gold 16 interfering with 15 tee that a mando can't fix. My thought would be that 16 silver (perhaps lengthened) is "better" as a gold hole and 16 gold is "better" as a silver (blue) level par 4.
